Original Airbox/induction Set Up

Recommended Posts

AJPMIKE

I'd like to return my car back to tits std induction system, the previous owner having fitted a k&n set up. I have got a collection of original hoses along with the original filter housing, but would love to see how it all assembles before i try to put it all together.I've seen plenty of pics of engine bays with original systems,so the pipework sequence is not a problem, but i'm not sure what brackets i should have or where they are fitted in order to assemble it all  Ive searched the archives but can only find pics of some bits, and one of my brackets looks a little different to the only similar one ive seen!! Any help, especially pics, would be really appreciated.Cheers,Mike

Atari Boy

I dismantled mine not too long ago but my memory is not great.

As I remember, one bracket fits to the back of the head and the exhaust manifold, there are three bolts - one on the head and two on the manifold I think. There is another bracket that holds the AFM and from memory, it fixes to the battery tray.

Sorry, I obviously did not remember as much as I thought.

Punctuatuion please!!

Makes your post much easier to read & might generate more replies with help.

The bracket for the airbox has one from the opening end off the two studs down to the exhaust manifold & the other end directly to the head.

The other brackets are for the AFM / Battery tray area.
