blniasgti 0 Posted November 20, 2010 As i keep my 205 in the garage i can only assume my heater matrix has burst as my footwells are filling with water and i need to fill the header tank when i needed to drive it last week.... I only started to notice on the last time i drove it as the radio went off, then noticed soppy carpets and the front windscreen would mist up rather than de-mist with the heater on.... Any other thoughts of whats happened mostly appreciated.... Is the heater matrix from all 205 models the same or do i have to find one from a series 1 205 gti ? Help much appreciated ??? shalmaneser 26 Posted November 20, 2010 Just get a new one, they're about £25 from GSF. Not too bad to fit either.

Anthony 1,002 Posted November 20, 2010 It's pretty simple Part drain cooling system Remove coolant pipes from the two bulkhead connections Remove two nuts securing the two bulkhead connections to bulkhead Remove the lower drivers side dash panel (the bit with the cubby hole on the right) Remove lower center console Undo the various screws securing the two heater matrix pipes, making sure you've something underneath to catch spillage Remove the two pipes from the heater matrix and from the bulkhead Undo two screws holding heater matrix in the airbox and remove by pulling out towards drivers side Refitting is the reverse of removal Heater matrix and pipes look like this when fitted btw, having just done this job a couple of weeks back: Hope that helps
