Rear Quarter Panels 1.9 Gti

Recommended Posts

hilly

Hi, I've noticed the rust is getting progressively worse around the bottom of my RQP and sill on my 1988 1.9 gti. and I have tried to order a new RQP from Peugeot but unfortunately NLA but have managed to obtain a new L/H sill from them.

The question I have is there a small repair panel that fits the bottom of RQP. I intend keeping the motor for some time and do not want to give it a quick fix but a proper repair. If not any experiences from any 205 owners would be appreciated. Thanks.

best course of action if new panel is not avalible is cut out corrossion weld in new metal if you can finish with body solder if not filler and paint

So it's your car, I said to phil you can still buy a base model panel (Circa £140 + VAT) and cut that to suit no other way really unless you find some old stk somewhere

If you're lucky enough to find one, I had this same problem and bought a 1.1 Look for £100 - chopped the B pillar and RQP out, stripped the interior and made my money back selling it all. Only the shell went to the scrap yard.

Kev Spong, (blue_haddock on here) can get these 1/4 panels I think (although copies not OE) from his place of work.
