Quick Shift And Gti6 Conversion

Has anyone ever come across an issue with the long gear linkage rod hitting the springs on the down pipe fittings on a gti 6 engine?

 

I'm going take another look tomorrow, but I should be able to bend the rod slightly to avoid it and adjust the rod to compensate for the extra length required.

Mine touched when i shortened the L bracket, i just bent the rod like you plan to.

I had this problem too and just bent the gear rod, worked fine.
