Has anyone used one of the wheel stud conversion kits from ebay? In particular this one? Looking for feedback on quality of the kits as this one seams pretty darn cheap

There was a group buy on here some time ago for the same ones. If you have a search you will find mixed opinions.

I've had mine on a while now and done 9 events this year where I have driven to the event and then swapped the wheels over, thats 18 swaps for this alone and there have been plenty of others as well.

In general apart from me cross threading a couple (my fault) they have held up well to the abuse. The cross threading though is easily done as they are a soft steel.

I have tried as set of the high tensile PTS ones and they are lovely, but at a significant additional cost.

In conclusion, if you don't take your wheels on and off a lot then i think they are adequate, if you do then save your pennies and buy the dogs dangly PTS ones.

Thanks for your reply. I won't be swapping wheels over too often, as the car is more of a dry track day car. Was a little worried considering the price that they would withstand the hard abuse of track days.

Allenallan had a wheel come off at Mallory Park last year due to poor wheel studs, so be careful what you buy.

I have a set on my car which touch wood have been OK. However a set on my shared track car with my mate were rubbish and kept pulling threads. They went back to the place they were bought from.

I have a plan to adapt a wheel stud from another car, as it seems the nuts you can get are OK, it is the studs which are not so good.

I can only comment from my experience rather than a position of absolute knowledge, but 9 sprints & hillclimbs on slicks, mileage to and from the events and a couple of track days and they are still all where they were threadlocked. for info, i also use an cordless impact to remove them and put them back on but finish off with a torque wrench to 70 ft/lbs.

That figure seemed to be the general consensus I managed to ascertain by doing a search on here

If I am honest I will be swapping to the PTS ones as some point, purely because I know that at some point I am going to end up cross threading some more.

have a look in the group buys section for a thread by Axnutty, he got studs and nuts made up to Peugeot sport spec, they do come up cheaper than pugsport but quit a bit more than others, around £100 for a full set, though worth it IMO for the safety aspect.
