Quick Question,

Whats the normal path for running the gti6 engine loom in the 205 engine bay?

The gti6 i had in the past had it above the manifold wrapped in Heat Shield.

Ah. Cheers.

So you just lengthen the loom then to reach the brown under dash plugs?

Definitely a much better idea. Just would like to do it without Chopping a hole in the bulkhead. Do most people just ditch the grommet behind the header tank and run both looms through it or something more fancy?

I dont know but i doubt there will be enough room to fit the two brown plugs through that hole as well as the other wires.

Well that may not be so much of a problem at the moment as the brown plugs are only connected to the 306 loom via Spade connectors so they can be removed. But this was only supposed to be temporary.

The more i think about it putting another hole in the bulkhead might be the best option, Especially as I already have a spare bulkhead loom grommet.

Goes thru the same hole as the bonnet cable, Easier to fit the 2 Multi plugs after threading the cable thru thou, no need to extend anything if wired up correctly, bar the Fuel pump feed and Diag Light

All the other ways are people just doing it as quickly as possible or with no/little knowledge of a loom

Just fed my loom through last weekend.

Used the same grommit / hole as the bonnet release.

Good job there, what did you use to make the hole ? I had trouble with mine which is why the hole has an oblong shape to it, so i'm gonna weld a new plate there to strengthen the area of the bulk head as well as having a proper sized hole.

I used a drill and chain drilled lots of holes then finished the hole off with a file.
