Car Rally?

seen a load of old cars that looked like been taking part in a car rally of some sort this afternoon abot 3pm between yeovil and dorchester.

 

2 of them got me intrigued they were 205's with stupidly high rear suspension there must of been about 10-15" clearance between wheels and arches does anyone know why they would need to have the suspension set so high?

Trial car's by the sounds of it, Exeter car club do allot so I;d look on there website

Most likely to have been trialling cars, basically driving up a slope in a field between gates (two poles with red and white flags, numbered 10 to 1 usually)
