Who rebuilt it and do you have a price in mind?

"Zero miles" is rather disingenuous - the crank, rods, pistons and block are all 'used', plus you've not even mentioned the top end. Brand new head and valve gear?

It has to be described as 'zero miles since partial recondition'.

Not very helpful but I would have thought you'd have to offer a warranty to get decent money.

I'd value a rebuit engine with 2000 miles under its rings significantly higher than one that's not been run at all.

Cast Iron Heavy duty re-bored block

I might be missing something here, but if it's an iron block, then it isn't a D6C engine - D6C is an alloy block XU9J4 non-CAT 1.9 Mi16 B)

sorry for my unclear description.

but what i have is similar to what is listed here

http://www.hiflowheads.co.uk/forsale/engines.php

if you speak to andy. he will give you the exact spec. my last conversation with him, he assured me it is a d6c engine

i wouldn't be asking anywhere near what they are, and remember it comes with manifolds etc

cheers

I'd look at the block to see if it's Alloy or Iron and this will clear up allot of things, If it's a Iron block then its not a D6C

And all blocks are std Iron, non are Heavy duty I'm afraid

UPDATE

having spoke to the original builder of this engine, i can confirm that the engine was fully stripped, and was chemically cleaned before rebuild

so to make things more clearer. this engine has done

zero miles since partial recondition

the head was also pressure tested, with the valves re-ground and new stem seals fitted

i've been told that the manifold is o/e (i thought they were cast :) )

a lot of money spent on new parts

so if you are genuinely interested, please let me know, then i will advertise properly in the appropriate section

thanks

Not being picky, but you stated similar to the spec on their site rather than actually built by them - thanks for clarifying though.

I've had dealings in past with HFH so I'm no longer interested.
