Quick Question 205 Gti6 Starting.

Turning mine over for the first time since swap.

Starter is turning constantly on second stage of ignition without let up until i switch the ignition back off. (ie not working from third stage as pre conversion).

What have i done wrong??

Just to clarify . Ive used the switched live set up using my original 1.6cc battery positive cable through to the starter and onto the alt.

Are you sure you haven't cross connected the starter wire with the alternator field wire on the engine?

On the two brown multiplugs under the dash you've probably just got the ignition (thick red, wire #2) and starter (thick blue, wire #46) wires round the wrong way, as Peugeot swapped them over between Phase 1.5 and Phase 2, and thus conversion wiring guides written for one are wrong for the other.
