Decarbonizing Engine With Water

Recommended Posts

205007

nost of the people on there had tried it on larger capacity carb engines

I doubt it would have much benefit on a small 4cyl injection engine

Somebody try it.......and post results!

If you have ever dismantled an engine with a knackered head gasket that has been using water you will see the same effect, piston crowns and valves spotless having been "steam cleaned".

Same goes for any engine that uses water injection.

Yes , certainly Tom  did saw the cleaning effect after HG failure ...

But this somehow just seems wrong ! "filling the intake with water" .. water injection is more refine/controlled process than simply pouring the water inside ..

... might try this once , though , will use some old carb jet and stick it inside the pipe and use that for water suction .

Rather than start a new topic I thought I would bump this.

Has anyone done it on there 205?

Looking through the spark plug holes my piston crowns are completely black.

Italian tune up

Is that going to remove hard carbon deposits?

They will be black after lots of use. Probably cause more problems loosening the dirt than leaving it there.
