Had a few battery probs recently so tempted to get a CTEK and keep the new battery in a tip top and ready state, anyone got any views?

I have a c-tec charger but it's only the XS800 one. It's fine for the car batteries. If you are having battery issues, is there an underlying problem as in the car draining it maybe? Worth disconnecting a terminal if you are parked up for a long time and not to leave a battery sitting on the ground for a long time.

I have an XS3600, have had it 2 years. It's brilliant. Does just what it says on the tin so to speak. My car sits connected to it permantently under cover in the garage. I have had no problem at all with it and would highly recommend one. As an aside, if you read practical classics mag, they are giving one away this month if you subscribe, though a different model iirc.
