Xantia Turbo Ecu Unlocking

Recommended Posts

205turbz

I have a early 1997 vsx xantia turbo estate that I'm breaking for spares..

I've tried the usual start it up and unplug the keypad but it cuts out engine and won't start with out it. I take it I'm doing something stupid or wrong to unlock the ecu...

Ideas and help please!

Cheers

Switch ignition on, enter code (so keypad light goes green) and then unplug the ECU with the ignition still on. It will then be unlocked.

You cannot re-fit it into the car with a Keypad or it will lock again, If used without it it will be fine.

If you want it unlocked to run in the Xantia then it needs sending away

Right... That makes sense now!!

I don't want to use the xantia but do want to remove the loom for future use in something else, how much of the loom do I need to keep etc?

I've located where the ecu loom detaches on the os inner wing, what's needed beyond that??

Im sure you can unlock the ecu and it will still work and be unlucked in the xantia, i did it with a vts anyway.

If you do as anthony said, then remove the keypad then try and start the car?

Once the ecu is unlocked you would only have to disconnect the kepad and associated wiring for it to work in the xantia.

Obviously if it s unlocked and will work in the 205 it will work in the xantia

I've unplugged the keypad on every Xantia I have had (2.0 turbo Activas, V6s etc) and none of them have ever relocked.
