Yup iirc, the black plastic part in the centre pops off seperately, then just gently prise it off.

Cool,

Ive taken the speedo off and repaired my trip and now put it together. My next problem is the speedo doesn't seem to move very much or at the right speed. The cable is connected at the rear because it is moving just seems to not work very well.

Any idea of the best was to adjust the speedo. I tried driving and 30 and pushing the needle on but then it just stays at 30?

Found the problem, The coil inside the speedo has snapped I have soldered it and seems ok, I am working the coil shape back in so fingers crossed at least we have movement on her now.
