I would like to trace my cars history, I only have a logbook and a 6 year old MOT!

 

Can anyone help? It must have been loved once as someone went ot the trouble of having "1.6 GTI Special Edition" on the number plate.

Obvious question but does it happen to have any dealer stickers on either the corner windscreen or rear screen?

No, Not at all mate. like i mentioned the plates are not original hence no dealer logo and all the windows are stickerless.

 

All I know its an Original Sorrento Green paint code with grey carpets, grey dash, electric windows and power steering. Made in '89 sold in '90. The Grey leather has been nicked or thrown at some stage and replaced with seats out of a white model. I bought it from a chap in nice chap from Essex, with a blow head gasket and peeling paint.

Yes it was Baz, I did think about asking you on Tuesday night cos i got the car from just up the road form you. But as you recall I could hardly speak!
