Hi, would anyone recommend a main dealer timing belt kit and water pump over an aftermarket kit. Airtex any good??? and what manufacture for timing belt if not main dealer.

Dayco or Gates timing belts, good brands and Dayco are what you will get from peugeot if you buy from there I think!

 

I'd usually just go to my motor factors for things like this, dealer for stuff I can't buy elsewhere.

Absolutely fine - you really can't go wrong with them, Dayco or Gates in my experience

i used a contitech kit on my old gti6's

and got an skf on on latest 205, skf have a gates belt, and skf make the tensioner, kwp are good water pumps, keep away from circoli
