Is the Mi16 engine 1.9l with three row Motronic ECU compatible with the OBD / OBD2 reading machines?

 

Done a search for this but little info is telling me no it's not!

IIRC OBD/OBDII came in around 2001 in this country(when european law made it mandatory, US had it in 1996) so i'd guess not, if there is a plug, i'd assume it is the propriety PUG lexia system.

No, its not. Its not even compatible with Lexia or Proxia. I have shown the diagnostic plug to a few citroen technicians and all of them under the age of 50 have never seen anything like it. (possibly because this became a citroen garage in about 94-95) Basically, you need the Motronic diagnostic machine, 2 pin plug. There is a guide for making your own with an LED and a few other simple electrical parts on here somewhere (or maybe on AussieFrogs). Failing that, Draper make them.
