Britax Sunroof Surround - Material?

Hi all, would get a photo but it dark now :) On my bargain diesel the britax sunroof surround is all flakey and was going to spray it and do all the cheap -make it look tidyish jobs on it - what material is the surround? My guess is galvanized something? as Pug are far too tight for an exotic material like aluminium!
