A Black Box Under The Windscreen Wiper Scuttle Panel

Hi, another random question, the black box under the scuttle panel on passenger side. Connects to brake servo I think. Can it be removed??

Vacuum reservoir for the factory-fit sunroof. You can remove it, but you won't be able to operate the sunroof without the engine running

Anthony, so I can remove the vacuum box to fit my washer bottle there? im not bothered about opening the sunroof without engine running.

Yeah you can, thats the reason i asked.

I thought without this box the seals wouldnt seal up. but thats good news I can put the washer bottle out of the way now.

The vacuum is used to pull the seal away from the glass in order to open it so it will seal fine with no vacuum at all, you just wont be able to open it at all. Without the vacuum accumulator you will only be able to open it with the engine running as has been said.

thanks for confirming that I will go ahead and do the same as Ian-gti I dont think I have ever opened the sunroof without the engine running anyway and thats probably once a year in the summer.
