Well after 3.5 years of 6 and Rallye ownership I have finally realised maybe I dont live for the 306

Firstly there was my 6.

Now in the capable hands of one of my friends.

Then there was a slight break with a Lexus but the less said about that the better

Then there was the rallye which I loved (and still do!)

BUT I have been after this car for some time trying to persuade the owner to swop for the rallye - well at last I wore him down and I am now the proud owner of....

74k, pretty much fsh and lovely - it has only done about 1000 miles in the last 6 years

Standard apart from uprated drilled and grooved discs/ pads.

Already had loads of people coming over to talk to me about it and I was only outside washing it!

So very sad to see the rallye go, wish I could have afforded both but I have promised myself a Miami 1.9 for many many years(still reckon I will have a rallye again though).

Plasticare will be on order very soon! :P

Cheers Dave

Congratz with the car! :D

But actually, you can save the plastic cear with a botle of baby lotion and apply it to your plastics....itll be like new.

Very nice. Looks like a good standard example. Like the Rallye too, although that second picture makes it look a bit like a tiny plastic model of a rallye if you know what I mean!?

Are you pulling my plonker :) think id rather stand outside with a bottle of plasticare than baby lotion - my missus already thinks I love my cars to much :D

The picture was altered by using a program called tilt shift - it is meant to look like that!

Hi mate - yep its taken me 8mths to persuade him to part with it but it was worth it! So if its parked up you dont need the parcel shelf and jack then :) When the weathers better Yeovil mini meet!

So how much are genuine driving lamps then - loads I suppose?

Cheers for the comments Dave B)

Well after thinking baby lotion on the trim was a bit weird I got told another option today which prob was weirder!

Peanut butter!! didnt ask if smooth or nutty ;) but was assured it will work!!!!

Might (maybe) try it - bloody dogs will be chasing the motor down the road

Oh went to get a bulb for the interior clock today - local motor factor didnt have so popped around to the main stealers.

So go in and ask for a bulb/holder and the reply was.....

Havent got any but can order one for you @ £4.70 - mm bit steep methinks but what the hell - then before I can answer he says sorry you have to buy them in packs of ten so that will be £47 - do you want me to order that for you?

Me - uh no ! you must be (insert your own swear word!) joking!!!

Off I stomp! :)

£47!! jokers!!

Plastics fade as the oils in the plastics dry out/get washed out/bleached out by the sun etc.

Therefore many products with oil in them (peanut butter/baby lotion etc) will get the oil back in, but will very with sucess as some will get back 'into' the plastics better than others.

Peanut butter is pretty good, baby lotion is fairly good, but non of them lasts as long as the bumper did from new.

Not personally tried plasticare but people on here seem to rate it.
