Oh my god, has nobody told you, there's a chip on ebay you buy for these and it turns it into a 500bhp monster. Most people used to just scrap them as they're old but they're highly sought after now, and there's only 3 left in the country, I know it's true, i saw it on ebay.

well it was a bit knackered. It had been rubbed against too many things by a previous owner and the engine needed a new crank seal as it leaked oil. Two new driveshafts and a few other bits before an MOT. Seemed like it was going to be a moneypit to keep it on the road.

Too late now anyway as i'm £84 up

£84!? Has scrap gone back up? It was well low a while ago wasn't it?

 

I'm half considering scrapping my diesel when I'v finished the rallye as it has a couple of rust holes! But i really like the idea of keeping old cars on the road, 20 year old ones that out-mpg most new cars!
