Recommended Posts

well the days here for the yearly m.o.t went in this morning full of douts supprise it passed with no advisories. now the point im makeing is last year it failed big time i only done enough to get a ticket stupidly leaving a list of advisories now supise suprise none were noted this year just to note a new m.o.t station was used this year. so am i justified in thinking last year i was ripped off having worked in a garage for thirty years i know there not all the same. but i thought they are all working with the same book of rules alltho i no adviseories could be a matter of opinion makes you wonder tho

I've used the same garage for years and without fail (fnaar fnaar) there is always a list of advisories on my Landy.

The Scoob used to go through with no problems at all.

My track car failed last year on the first attempt and came with a list of Andrex proportions of stuff that needed sorting, but I did sort of throw it in and hope for the best after only 2 days of ownership!! I'll be a fun one this year when it goes back as a proper stripped out track car.

The guy is great though, his motto is if it ain't there I can't test it!!

Also looking forward to the Golf going in in Nov, hopefully that'll pass without issue.

I am well of the opinion that it is a complete lucky dip as to who looks at it, how hungover they are, if it's last thing on a Friday etc etc.

I'd love to think that it was all done on a level, but it seems not.

Back in the days of old I used to have a mate who Mot'd council vehicles and if you gave him £20 and a couple of pints he'd write you an Mot up without even looking at the car.

Damn the computers!!

They do work from the book but it is down to the mot testers digression.

I'm taking my track car tomorrow as it happens, hopefully will be fine as the car is A OK and the tester knows me well at the place I use.
