Can I Replace 1.6 Brake Compensator With A 1.9?

I've just spent the last 30 minutes phoning around trying to find a new replacement compensator without luck. GSF stock the 1.9 version, are they interchangable?

 

If they aren't, is there an alternative to second hand?

The compensators are a different design, and one of the unions is a different size/thread

Ok, so that's Plan B out of the way, Plan A appears impossible so we're left with Plan C.

I'd be happy with a used 1.6 compensator, they seem to be more reliable than 1.9 ones in my experience.

 

Or you could fit a bias valve.
