Recommended Posts

floodys

As per title, I have a Gti oil filter at home from halfords and need to do a service on my 306 hdi, part numbers are different in halfords but when looking at both filters next to each other they look same, question is are they? And do they do that to make more monies?? Cheers

I use the same Purflex filter on my 307 as I do on the CTI as I had a pack of 12 of them years ago and am still going through them!

Fram list a PH5566a for early peugeots and a PH9599 for later ones, I've held both side by side and there is no difference what so ever, does anyone know why they list 2 different numbers?

longer life filters, they've moved from 6-9k intervals to 12+

same changes have happened to the o.e filters but they no longer supply the older cheap ones.

I've been using the same oil filter on my 306 hdi that I've been putting on my 205's for a few years now.

1109T1 (albeit in Citroen boxes).

Graham.

Thats a very old part number! 1109T1 has long since changed to 1109AL, just so you know. For the DW engines.

I thought you didn't want people to know that I sell it to you. IIRC its a sheffield based forum member that used the dishwasher for cleaning engine parts during their engine rebuild.

I bought 10 through my local motor factors about 18 mionths ago & only have a couple left now so I expect I'll get the newer 1109AL when I next need some.

Graham.
