what do you mean by "Bubble flare" ?

I have a very similar flaring kit to the one you posted about recently and can do any flare required so far on a pug?

Exactly - that kit you pictured can do both male and female flares, although all the unions on a 205 GTi just need males as the female part is in the brake line, caliper, MC, or compensator. You'd only normally need a female flared end if you were making a joining piece to put two brake pipes together.

sounds like a standard flare that all the male unions use, whether they screw into the M/C, a wheel cylinder, brake caliper, a Tee piece, or a brake hose.

like the two flares on the left

You did follow that guide that I spent the time typing for you, didn't you? That's how you make male unions!

If the pipe is bending when you clamp the die down on it, then the problem is usually that the pipe wasn't straight.

Holding the clamp in your hand is fine - that's all I do. You shouldn't need to use significant force to make the flares.

harry im not sure mate as it came on the car when i bought it but think its from ecosse but could be wrong,

that could be the case ant as i bought 25ft roll so ive tryed to get it dead straight but cant be 100% sure will keep trying guess i gotta get there in the end. had to file the clamp tool down slightly aswell as it wasn't gripping the pipe well enough
