Checking For A Immobiliser

hi folks having problems starting the car, and my cousin said to check for a immobiliser switch somewhere o the car, as his 205 had 1 fitted but never found out about it till he started having starting issues. is there anyway i can check if it has 1

I would seriously look past that idea and start with the basics. Fuel getting to the rail? Plugs Sparking?
