Went for a quick spin late afternoon yesterday, needed to pick the wife up from the station an hour later so parked at top of drive rather than in it

 

Some Twat decided to play football with my wing mirror

 

It's now got permanent impotence

 

Anyone got a phase one wing mirror?

The little 205 gti has always seemed to cause Jealousy. I wonder if they would have done it if it was a vauxhall corsa?

Exactly the same thing happened to me when I left the rallye in town after a night out, it was kerb side so had to be a little mindless twat. I do think it has something to do with jealousy and people seeing a tidy and clean cool little car!!! I don't know how hard phase 1 mirrors are to get but at least it's only a wing mirror.

Yeah the braindead idiots would still do it. I have had to replace probably 10 wing mirrors on my mums ford fiesta as a result of plebs like that. We have found if you bodge it back on with tank tape it doesnt get touched, fit a new one and it wont last a week.

Dave - I noticed someone had kicked my wing mirror on the audi when I dropped the car of on Sunday. (No damage just folded it back)

My wife has never shared my enthusiasm for 205's and has never been complimentary about them

 

But last night she said - it's probably someone who is jealous, they see an old car that looks really good and they want to smash it (could have knocked me over with a feather!)

 

Just pisses me off

 

Andy where I live is on the way to a park and is a dog walking route, some of these people are so anal that they will gently (yes gently - I've seen them) fold a wing mirror in if they are walking past

 

But this must have been kicked - I haven't taken it to bits yet but it is completely 'floppy' therefore I would have thought it must have snapped

I've seen people do it when I myself have been walking home from a night out, it really pisses me off - especially since many of them doing it will probably own their own cars and to me that makes it even worse because they'd go spare if someone vandalised it!

 

Someone wrote "french f***" in the condensation on my citroen before, I laughed.

Scumbags indeed ! My 205 suffers too from people putting a screwdriver into the lock / doorframe and trying to lever them open. It doesn't work though as they don't seem to be able to get in. Last time they nicked my Eurotrip sticker for added benefit

What a pain in the arse. It makes me so angry. If you have something that is different it will always attract idiots and these days a 205 is rarer and different i think.

 

A mate of mine has a VW trekker, if he leaves it anywhere it attracts attention with people leaning on it taking photos etc and if he leaves it parked up with the roof down people even sit inside for photos. Outside a pub once a fat lass laid on the bonnet and broke the windscreen glass as it was folded down onto the bonnet. He has to get glass cut now.

 

People have no respect, there's always some jealous little twat.

GSF have never done Phase 1 mirror's, mind they are not as rare as my Phase 1 mirror's, LOL.

I do have a few mirrors kicking around if any use

Thats sucks Dave, especially after its been brought round to looking so good just recently.

 

As said, it can be difficult to find phase 1 mirrors now, new are like hens teeth & even second hand are scarce.
