And I haven't even polished her yet.

I'd almost forgotten how much bloody fun these cars are. She's done over 1,000 miles since I picked her up from Anthony and I can't stop smiling.

I did so much to the last one and never drove it standard and working properly so I had no idea just how good these are with a regular 8V engine and working standard suspension - flipping brilliant kinda sums it up.

Been to work several times, meaning a 20 mile detour home, took her down to Goodwood for the Revival meeting a couple of weeks ago (across my favourite road in the south - B2149 from South Harting to Lavant) and a mammoth trip this weekend to Devon and back Friday (335 miles) and Taunton and back yesterday (220 miles). Even on the A303/M5 she was OK and the last 25 or so miles of my Devon trip are on some of the best B roads I've come across (South Moulton to Torrington for those who hail from that area).

As soon as funds allow I will sort the bodywork but I really am in no hurry - she works well, runs sweet and even a slight hissy fit on my way home last night hasn't spoilt the fun.

They are such brilliant cars, after driving a 3 tonne meat wagon around for the best part of 3 months and after about 36 hours of airplane travel - I got back to my 205 with a 4 hour drive ahead of me before I was home - I could of slept for a few hours before setting off but driving this car just didn't seem like a burden!

TT205

I know exactly how you feel

I've been driving and competing in various 205's for nearly 15 years now and a month ago is the first time ever that I've owned a bog standard one! - loving it :P

Can't keep away, keep looking for excuses to jump in and have a drive
