Mi16 Sensor?

Hiya Guys

 

I was wondering if someone could identify this engine sensor? The one circled in red.

 

I've search around on here for the last few hours and haven't found anything yet.

 

Is this the one with the long tube on it which goes down into the sump?

 

I just remember this being damaged a while ago so was wondering what it is so i can get it replaced. But i did see a thread saying that some sensors dont work with the 205 dash gauges.

Just wondering if this is one of them and if i need to replace it?

oil level

 

rarely found in a 205 gti, I think only very early cars for a limited time had them so most clusters dont have the capability for an oil level reading.

 

All the Mi's have them I believe, as does the gti6.

 

you can fit the BX cluster which has the oil level circuitry contained in it I believe.

Ah thanks mate, so no need to change it then.

 

Is the oil gauge on the 205 only for pressure? because it looks like a fuel one i thought it was oil level.

top left is oil pressure, I think that's where the oil level would be additionally on startup.
