I suspected my mates ECU coolent temperature sensor was playing up so I bought one from GSF.

Fitted it this afternoon and had a phone call ten minutes later to say the temperature has gone off the scale and the warning light is in.

Fearing the worst and thinking I've ruined my mates engine due to it leaking coolent, I arrive at the scene to find no water missing.

Put the old sensor back and all is well.

So have GSF given me the wrong sensor and I've swapped the gauge sensor for a New faulty one? (circular four pin connector with a brass looking probe similar to a 205 ECU coolent temperature sensor).

Or is it the correct sensor just faulty?

Cheers
