Which New Battery?

Morning,

 

My battery has finally given up after 8+ years and I was wondering which one to buy?

 

The one I have is fairly compact and not sealed (that's how old it is) and I am not sure what to buy to replace it.

 

I have a standard 1.9 with a diesel starter motor, I don't need anything particularly light-weight, but it will need to be quite compact as my re-positioned power-steering reservoir encroaches on the battery tray a bit.

Is there a code on the battery that you've got? Normally a three digit code, something like "063"

 

"063" is the standard sized battery and is fairly compact, and certainly fits fine with a relocated PAS bottle and leaves plenty of room the air filter of an induction kit as well (which I assume you have fitted, hence relocating the PAS bottle)

I recently got an 063 sized battery from GSF. Was about £50 for a Bosch one I think.
