tbh imo heel & toe isn't that hard but you've still gotta love it when you see it done so well.

Made me smile when @ ~1.57 in the first one with the opposite lock but after watching the second one it pales into insignicificance with the crossing up you see.

Wonder what happened to TPT's old NSX...

Graham.

In the 205 I found it difficult as you had to put your foot diagonally to get good grip, on the Subaru it is easier (and also the gas pedal is not slippery), I need to practise more though.

When is the ideal time to downshift, is it once the revs have reached the "maximum" once the throttle is blipped?

The VTEC sounds awsome. There is a green one for sale in PH but I am not sure how the automatic ones drive.

I heel and toe and left foot brake and its hard to say the exact point you have to do it, I just practised relentlessly until I could do it smoothly.

Its easier the heavier you have to brake. I usually combine it with shifting from 5th to 3rd, or 5th to 2nd..

That's awesome.

I wonder if it's easier or harder to go from an F1 car to a road car. On the one hand the road car must feel like it's all in slow motion and you have a lot more time to make decisions but on the other hand you have less repsonse and also i wonder if you would struggle to gauge how much less grip you have.

It depends how big your feet are, and dextrous your ankles are, i used to be able to use my heel, twisting my foot round quite a bit, but since i twisted/fractured my ankle i can't as much, and it's more the side of my foot that does the throttle blip.

I allways thought Walter Rohrl was the king of pedal control:

Got to love the noise of a SWB Quattro.

Left foot braking is even pretty useful on the road version of the Quattro, especially if you want full shove coming out of say a roundabout. Turbo technology really has come on in the last 20 years, although the lag-lag-lag-lag-WHOOSH is pretty addictive!

They are one of my favorite sounding cars, can't say i've ever driven one (or even sat in one  ) but i have heard numerous times that the only way to drive them quickly is to left foot brake through the bends and pump the throttle pedal to control the lag

This is my Dad this July at the Nurburgring with me and my mates.

It really did show that he could go pretty much as quickly as we could in modified 205's, in a car on all its standard parts apart from some different compound front pads.

I find that wearing wider shoes (rather than those slim "driving" Puma ones) helps with heel and toeing, anyone else noticed the same?

I'm slowly getting the hang of heel toeing and I usually drive in skater style shoes (vans, dcs, that style) with size 12 feet.
