Moz_Goodwood 0 Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) done a search but not much came up anyway i was speaking to my brother the other day telling him about the clearance issues with the GTi 6 engine and the master cylinder when he suggested using a "remote servo", he said hes used them in the past on his old mk2 escorts i was wandering is there any kits available for the 205 / 309 GTi and how difficult they are to adapt / fit im running the standard pedals, servo, master cylinder but with wilwood 4 pot brakes cheers paul Edited October 6, 2010 by Moz_Goodwood Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

SurGie 54 Posted October 6, 2010 They are not that bad surely, i have used a few washers around the servo screw attachments to help lift it higher or more to the right if it rubs the cam cover. I then use some flexible silicone to seal them. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

harryskid 193 Posted October 7, 2010 Having the same problem and have tried the washer method with no success. I think because my car was used for gravel rallying befor i had it and it had a few knocks things are a bit out on the shell. I'am now wondering if i can move the servo over about 10mm or so. Mine rubbed through the cam cover after only about 20 miles, bearing in mind about 4 of them were on a tarmac rally be for the car broke down. Also looking at engine movement as the first guy that fitted my engine was not very good and am now finding all the faults.
