Air Intake Heat Wrap

Does anyone know a supplier of heat wrap insulation tape?

 

I need something to insulate the air intake pipe that the previous owner has fitted to my car. The original pipe was plastic and I am concerned the metal one that is fitted now conducts heat better hence the higher air intake temperatures I see compared with my previous Impreza.

 

I am not sure if this is the reason for the higher air intake temperatures (+10 from ambient in the Forester, +3/6 in the Impreza) or it is down to the air intake snorkel that is different in the 2 cars.

I know there are exhaust heat wraps available but I doubt these will do much?

I used this on the firewall and trans tunnel - it cut the interior temps down unbelievably.

 

You also have things like HPC coatings you could consider also.
