The point is that they are a very rare part (isn't everything on eBay, though?) that is no longer available from Pug. To certain people they have kudos value, it's nothing to do with functionality. I could say that a fool and his money are easily parted, but I think if you can afford to happily spend £126 on something like that (wonder what they put on as their max bid :P ), then you're probably the type of person who a] aint short of a bob or two, and b] wants to make your 205 exactly how you want it.

If that person turned up on the forum now with pictures of a very nicely specced, immaculate 205, everyone would go "oooooooooooooo  ".

Then "hang on, is that some rare fog light protectors? Where did you get them, and how much did you pay?"

"WHAT?! £126! Get the f*** outta here!"

Got to admit though, it is strange to pay more for the part that protects something than what you'd pay to replace the part if it got broken.

I bet it wouldn't cost much more to make a batch of very accurate replicas.

That wasnt the only pair to go that high either, the other month a pair went for £116, and iirc there has been another pair go for over the £100 mark too!

Or will the winner actually pay?

I've sold a copy of GTA4 on ebay 3 damn times now, every time it comes to paying the buyer goes quiet or says can I cancel it. One guy bud 5 times and then said he didn't mean to. WTF
