aymen_a22 1 Posted September 30, 2010 I had a look at the steering column and there seems to be a little bit of play in the universal joint at the bottom of steering column before it connects to the rack, however there may also be a little bit of play in the rack. Any sugestions on what I could do to improve this. Cheers
Stevo309 0 Posted September 30, 2010 If there's visible play in the UJ then i would change that first as it's an easy job and should give a big improvement. I have a spare used square pinion one that's in good nick if you're interested. They're around £70 from Peugeot new.

j_turnell 134 3 Cars Posted September 30, 2010 Theres no point replacing the rack if theres nothing wrong with it, plus you have to get the tracking done, TRE's would be sensible to replace too, cost soon mounts up. I'd replace the UJ first and see if that cures the problem, which it may well do, if not, then get a rack.
