Gti 6 Conversion

Just about finished unplugging, labeling and and dismataling the gti6 lump in my 205, on removing, is there enough room to lift the engine with the box? or do I have to split it?

(I do have a load leveler so I can tilt it, master cylinder and header tank still in place though)

Thanks in advance

Should go mate, take the inlet off and use the balance bar to tilt the gearbox down towards the floor and it should come out.

I lifted mine out with exhaust mani on which I think may be unheard of and that was with a Xsara box.

It will come out complete, just angle the gearbox lower than the engine, and remove the battery tray/gearbox mount.
