Would Not Work Question

Car was working brilliant, after which it decided that after working well for a week it starts but as you press the accelerator it just does not accelerate and dies. Sometimes it manages to start and remain idle but as you try to drive it dies off./

 

 

Any idea what can this be ?

no battery is good and charged up

think so am going to start by changing the fuel filter as I do not use it quite often

AFM possibly fubared?

just replaced it could it be bust again ?

I had a problem very similar to this with my Mi16, it turned out to be one of the wires to the AFM had perished and cracked so the ECU would think the AFM had been unplugged. When I moved the wiring loom to a certain position it would instantly fix the problem. Sounds like you may have a similar problem, especially if you have already replaced an AFM.
