Another Mud Flap Question, Sorry!

Sorry if i am boring people with all my mud flap questions but its the last thing left to do to finish my Sorrento restoration and it just does not look right without them.

 

So next question! If the Autofive ones are not very good and no one else seems to have any, whats the opinion on buying these parts off ebay and making a set up?

The flaps are described as being made from good quality rubber so should be better than the plastic ones.

 

To help me would anyone be prepared to put up a large picture of what a OEM set looks like for me to copy.

I bought the ones off ebay from the seller Paragonpug. They are the harder type rubber but they fit well as long as the rear isnt too low. You should be able to get them cheaper elsewhere if you can find them or if anyone else knows?

I doubt the ones you are looking at will look like these though they are a different shape where they meet the body.

 

You'd be better off getting these - at least they will fit properly. The genuine ones secure to the sill and with a metal strip/bolt into the inner wing. The clips you have shown will not work on 205s.

Failing that, look out for cars that re being stripped - you may get lucky.

 

Rear ones are still available from the dealers.

 

 

Just looked at the Auto Five ones and these are the ones that the dealers have sold for the past 2 years or so - now out of stock from Pug. They were £16 plus VAT. These are ones in the pic above.

I have some geniune standard 205 front mudflaps for sale if your interested i am going to fit gti mudflap badges on mine the ones off ebay as this will cover the 205 emblem ....

Yes the rear are rubber not plastic.
