Hi all.

im currently living in swindon wilts and to be honest dont know the area very well.

i currently am a plant mechanic, 22 done a NVQ 3 in plant and automotive repair n matanance and currently work on forklifts.have done a good few rebuilds etc, manly on diesel engines, but would love to progress and learn more about the fine art of tuning and get more into proper engineering.

anyways my question is does anyone know engine builders, tuners, in wilts area so i could get in touch with them ive tryed google but not found anything,

would you want to go to college again? could do motorsport engineering at Wiltshire college

As far as performance places go, theres a couple in Westbury I think, bit of a trek for you though. PM Anthony he's a Swindon boy.

i will look into college thanks for that,would have to be an evening class though as need a job to pay the bills will also send anthony a pm,

its abit of a dream job i know and im sure alot of people want to do it just wanted to look into it.

Check out swindon race engines, they seem to do a bit of everything, or for the more engineering side, have a look at south cerney engineering. I use south cerney for everything engineering engine wise and the old boys there really know their stuff. My mate got a job at McLaren 7 years ago assembling the SLR. He communted from Swindon to woking every day. He now works in the wind tunnel making the models of the F1 car for testing. It was hard work, but i would say he has what a lot of people would regard as a dream job.
