Throttle Body Heater On A Gti6

Recommended Posts

As above really, I want to remove it as it will free up some essential room in the bay.

It will also stop the oil vapour recirculating into my nice enlarged throttle body.

Has anybody removed this and not had adverse problems. (it's the sensor with a yellow plug if anybody is interested)

I will be using this in the winter, is it a good idea?

Do you have problems starting when it is cold?

I doubt the megasquirt ecu will use the heater.

I would imagine that it is there to stop the throttle body Icing in cold weather. Only the manifold sits behind the radiator on most Peugeot's.
