Clonk Coming From Servo

Hi all, I have fitted a 205 diesel servo to my 205 2.0 turbo and when I push the pedal down it makes a clonk when its about a third of the way down. It was doing it without the master cylinder fitted and it's still doing it now I have fitted the master cylinder. I have no brake lines fitted yet so maybe the pedal won't travel far enough to clonk once the brakes are all plumbed in? My old servo didn't do this so I guess somethings at fault, maybe catching up inside?, any ideas please?
