I have a confession to make, i've been a complete fcuking idiot.

I was leaving work today and i pulled out of the yard and the sun was glaring through the windscreen, which was really dirty from the drive to work. I gave the windscreen a liberal coating of fluid and then the fluid started coming in the drivers window, i looked down and pressed the window button, looked up and SMASH!!!

My lack of attention to the road had caused me to drive straight in to a parked car. My 306 is a write offf, the whole front end is stoved in but he Mondeo i hit has only a slight bit of damage, a dented bonnet a cracked washer bottle.

So the moral of this story is, never wash your windscreen with the window open, allways look where you are going and drive a Ford Mondeo as they're bloody resiliant in an accident

Can't say that i do, i stuck my hand down and missed the switch so i just had a look. I really didnt see the car in front of me as the sun was quite low and the windscreen was covered in screenwash.

I can relate to that. My embarrassing altercation with a 3 foot drop that wrote off my Civic was due to the sun being very low in front and making visibility difficult. One of the situations where you'd criticise others and laugh at their stupidity, but until it happens to you, you wouldn't understand ^_^

Yeah, i allways wondered how people could crash in to inanimate objects......now i know -_-

On a slightly different tangent, does anyone have a small cheap car with tax and MOT they want to sell me, i need something to get to work and back.

Yep, i have to say it's probably one of the stupidest things i have ever done.

On a lighter note i may have found a tidy 309D not too far from me so i should have a car again soon and The Inbetweeners is on tonight, so i'm sure i'll enjoy that.

These things happen, no one is injured is the main thing. In 6 months you'll have forgotten all about it. For now, to the pub.

Fair play to you Swordfish, I'd probably have been too embarassed to admit to that one on the forum! :)

EDIT: What did you do, did you leave a note or speed off into the sunset seeing as it was only a mondeo? :)

Ha ha, my skins way to thick to shy away from my stupidity. I found the owner (turns out its just a company car) and we swapped details. I then had one of the guys from work tow me back to the yard and i dumped the car there. I'm borrowing one of the workhorses from our place to get around in atm.
