Heyup I have been meaning to ask this for sometime now. Inside behind the drivers side rear light cluster is a bad bit of rust to the point its ate through chassis there is hole there, would this fail an MOT?

 

On another note what would be best way to tackle this rust as its in a arkward location not sure if you could manage to weld a plate in there with rear light removed.

Its a questionable fail imo, if it is within 30cm of a suspension mounting point & the tester see it then it ought to fail imo.

 

Best way to repair will be cut out the rot & replace, I suspect the panel you are looking at is the same one that was recently replaced by Jordan (Jrod).

Thanks pugtorque those pics in the link were alittle confusing so I have took a picture of mine I think its the same place.

 

You can see I have waxoyl kicking about in house so I have caked the area with this for now prevent it getting any worse.

Its the drain pipe hits the surface around this area ate through chassis

Confusing, really?

 

Try looking from the bottom and it should all make sense.

That's the same panel as Jordan replaced, just the opposite side.

 

The drain pipe you can see runs through the rubber bung shown in the pic below;
