Suggested Coilovers For Turbo Mi16?

Hey lads,

 

I am in Melbourne with a 1988 GTI Mi16 Turbo (Garret with intercooler ++). The current AVO coilovers are about 7-8 years old and I suspect they have given up/ are not properly rated for the engine and turbo conversion (I presume the new assembly weighs a fair bit more than standard).

 

I assume I cant rebuild the AVO's, so can any of you experts suggest the best coilover brand for my situation? I only have an issue with the front, not the rear.

AVo do a rebuild service.

As mentioned Avo can rebuild them for about £50 a side, that includes new rods if needed too.

I guess it depends on the cost of shipping really.

Thanks for that, rebuild may be the way to go. Has anyone with Mi16 conversions had success with other brands/ I guess that if they are rebuilt, then that is the problem solved anyway.
