Daxed 7 Posted September 17, 2010 What are you looking for? Front m/c layout? How the pipes fit with the beam? Position of compensator? etc From memory the Haynes manual has diagrams of the pipe runs.
pug_ham 243 3 Cars Posted September 18, 2010 The brake lines on a 1.6 GTI (any year without ABS) run both front lines from the end of the m/c & the rear from the single outlet on the m/c across the engine bay to the compensator behind the battery tray on the inner chassis leg wall. From the compensator it runs underneath the car to the T piece above the rear beam where it splits across to the right running to the rear flexi around the beam & rigid along the radius arm to the wheel cylinder or straight to the flexi into the T piece for the left rear drum inthe same way. 1.9 GTI has front rear diagnonal split from a different four port m/c of the same internal bore (20.6mm).
