Recommended Posts

Hi

Can I check if it is safe (and possible) to fit 309GTI bottom arms to a 205 GTI with standard 205 driveshafts?

thanks

Rob

Ideally I would like 309 shafts but its all cost!! besides they have only done around 500 miles road use, and are in good condition!

I've run 309 wishbones and both driveshafts, had an issue with right 309 driveshaft being too long.

Thus not settling well in the inner joint when extedned on left turns and making knocking noise + vibration.

Swapped for shorter 205GTI driveshaft, issue solved.

It's less of a problem if your car is lowered 30mm+ (more makes it less) but as said 309 shafts are the better & safer choice.
