I've got them on my car, if you live in london they hate them because the congestion charge cameras cant read them (is supposedly the reason). I've never had a problem.

i have pressed plates and had no trouble (surprised me as used to being pulled over left right and centre) but my friend had some pressed plates with the french symbol on left side and got fined £200 odd for illegal number plates

I have (had) french plates on my 205 for nearly a year, didnt get pulled over once, and I think they look pretty good. Compliment its european good looks

I got mine from theplateman.com I think it was, something similar anyway. Really good quality, was really pleased with them.

I made sure I got the GB in the corner rather than F, so at least they look slightly convincing lol

Does any one think not having the GB on the plate would have more of the rozzers attention to them, because im thinking of getting some without ?

IMV if the letters are the same size/style as they should be then that should be enough, what a load of bull about the congestion charge cameras excuse.

£200 fine OMG, in 2005 i got a £25 or so fine for having slanted letters, car got wrote off during the time to get it mot checked, i then got sent to court to be told to be dismissed the dim wits, i sent letters explaining the situation etc.

It is not a requirement to indicate your country on the number plate AFAIK unless you travel abroad in which case you either need a sticker unless the number plate indicates the country.

Just don't put other countries letters as you would be asking for trouble.

So basically you didn't pay the fine? Irrelevant whatever then happened to the car! :(

I love these plates look great on the aging 205. Iv had mine for three years or more and touch wood the Police have not said anything ahbout them. I would say get them and just leave your standard ones in the car for a month or so just incase the local police dont like them.
