Rear Shockers Advice Please

Recommended Posts

GTIAndy

Hi I am replacing my rear beam and thought I might as well do the shocks while it is out. The car is for fast road occasional track day use. Any better alternative shocks to use other than original?

Thanks

Any of the usual suspects for uprated, or alternatively OE 306 GTI dampers are a good upgrade for fast road without being too harsh.

Avoid Bilstein Black BNE-1931 replacements as i found them to be way too soft. Originals are pretty good to be fair.

bne 1931's aren't bad any more, just make sure they are the large bodied version.
