Strange Knocking Noise

hi guys ive got a lil problem. Last week i hit a sunken grid, it didnt cause any damage so off i went, a couple of days later i heard a bang and what sounded like a flat tyre. I stopped the car to check and all was fine, as i pulled off again i heard a knocking noise from near side front wheel. I got a new driveshaft and fitted it the other day but this did not solve the problem. Now it vibrates as i accelerate and the gear stick wobbles in 1st 3rd and 5th. Im stumped and need some help, any ideas?

I'd get the car in the air and have a good prod around with a pry bar and check for any play in the wheel, steering etc while your at it.
