How To Identify A Mi16 Gear Box?

Tried to do a search for this but of course I can't search mi16!!!! Never mind! I have brought a mi box of rhulpug and I know it's mi as he is honest! Just wanted to know if the numbers on top of box mean it's defo mi? Or if there is something "tell tale" that it's mi! Numbers are 943109202 simi 32846011. Cheers

Those number's don't mean anything or relate to the box. The easiest way to check for sure is to physically check the gears/CW&P.

older boxes had a metallic sticker on the box near the diff casing, later ones (no MI16) have the code engraved.

 

it'll be something like 20CB26

i found a sticker on box with 2 BP 19 also 14x62 and 015309???

14x62 is 4.428, so quite likely its an Mi box, can't remember if there were any other boxes that age that used a 14x62 fd.

If it's not been apart before then it could well be, I know the amount I;ve changed, Almost hundreds I would never trust a label, thou I normally take them off
